Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal information — clearly, and in line with Australian law.
Last updated: 8 July 2026
AutoBiz AI Pty Ltd (“AutoBiz AI”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who we are
AutoBiz AI is a practical AI implementation partner for Australian small and medium businesses, based in Brisbane, Queensland. You can contact us any time at [email protected].
2. The information we collect
We only collect information we reasonably need. This may include:
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and the details of the task or enquiry you send us through our contact form.
- Communication records — emails, messages and notes from conversations with you.
- Technical information — basic information your browser sends when you submit a form, such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information through this website, and we ask that you do not include it in the free-text fields of our contact form.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange an Opportunity Conversation;
- provide, scope and deliver our services to you;
- keep our website and systems secure; and
- meet our legal, record-keeping and governance obligations.
We will only use your information for the purpose you provided it, for a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect, or where you have consented or the law permits or requires it.
4. AI and automated decision-making
AutoBiz AI builds AI-assisted systems for our clients. Human approval gates keep people in charge of decisions that matter, and AI-assisted actions can be logged and traced. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors to this website. Where automated decision-making is relevant to a client engagement, transparency and disclosure obligations — including those commencing 10 December 2026 under APP 1 — are addressed in that engagement.
We do not use the personal information you submit through this website to train AI models.
5. Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only where necessary with:
- trusted service providers who help us operate our website and communications (for example, our email delivery provider), under obligations of confidentiality and security; and
- others where you have consented, or where required or authorised by law.
6. Email delivery and overseas providers
Contact-form enquiries are delivered to us by email using a third-party delivery service. Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
7. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, secure transmission and rate limiting on our forms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
10. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date shown above.
